It's hard being a teenager when all you seem to be doing is watching your pennies. But it's not all doom and gloom! Have a look at some of the ways that you can make your money go further, which shops you can get discounts at and how to apply for your discount card today.
If you haven’t been issued one by your college or 6th form you can apply for a Student Card online here. It costs £12 a year and you can get loads of great discounts! Don’t forget this is different from a UCAS student card.
If you have a citizen card and are aged 16 or 17 years old, then you are entitled to travel on buses for a reduced single fair. You’ll also get access to loads of other discounts through the Lealta Discount scheme. 16 to 25 Railcards
If you are aged 16 to 25 years old you could save you 1/3 on rail fares throughout Great Britain. A 1 year card costs just £30. If you're aged between 16 and 25, or are older and in full-time education, you can apply for a 16 to 25 Railcard now.
Passport to Leisure Discount Cards
Aylesbury Vale, Chiltern & South Bucks and Wycombe District Councils all run discounted schemes either themselves or in conjunction with local leisure centres. Further information on the schemes can be found here to Discounted Sport, Leisure and Travel Schemes.
