Rapid support for children and young people affected by the coronavirus crisis

Published: 03 September 2020

Barnardo's is running a new service called See, Hear, Respond.

The service is funded by the Department for Education and can help children, young people and their families affected by Covid-19 crisis in England. The service is free and available to you if any of these apply:

  • you're under the age of 18
  • you have a special educational need and under the age of 25
  • you're not already supported by social services in England
  • you're a carer for anyone described above
  • you're expecting children

The team will talk you through the support available and can connect you with other organisations that can help. They've also launched the Support hub which is an interactive space for parents, carers and young people to get a range of materials and resources to help deal with some of the challenges the pandemic has presented.
