National Play Day returns to Vale Park, Aylesbury

National Playday is back for 2018 on Wednesday 1 August. Events will be held across the country in parks and playground to celebrate including Vale Park, Aylesbury.

The Aylesbury "Play in the park" will be held on Wednesday 1 August from 11am to 4pm at the Vale Park, Aylesbury HP20 1RJ

So far confirmed at the event:

  • Colonel Custard will be teaching circus skills for free
  • Aylesbury Library will be providing a reading corner with storytelling and puppets
  • Highline Adventure are providing a climbing wall
  • Umbanda will again be hosting a free drumming workshop
  • Fun4Kidz are bringing along their inflatables
  • Jo Jingles with be providing music and movement for under 5s
  • Rossetti Ices will be selling ice creams from their vans
  • Aylesbury Youth Action will be face painting
  • Go-Kart Party will again be bringing along their go karts
  • Free crafts will be provided by Jonathan Page Play Centre and Queens Park Arts Centre
  • Wycombe Pastures will be bringing along some furry friends in their petting farm
  • Woodland Trust will have activities and information about their charity
  • Yours truly: The Buckinghamshire Family Information Service

The event is free to attend but certain activities have charges of £1 to £3. Tokens for activities can be purchased from the designated token booths on the day. All children must be accompanied by an adult. The event is organised by the communities team within AVDC.
