What is the Bucks Inspired Traineeship?
It's a free Traineeship and Employment Skills course for 16 to 24-year-olds starting in January 2021:
focused on giving young people the skills and experience that employers are looking for
an opportunity to gain valuable work experience in your chosen industry
- group sessions are delivered three days a week and individual tasks and assignments will be placed on a Google classroom for you to complete
this programme helps to unlock your great potential and set you up for your career journey Bucksinspired Virtual Traineeships includes employability skills workshops. These are fun, practical sessions lead by our youth work staff
English and maths skills support from Buckinghamshire Adult Learning (if you do not have A* to C /4 to 9 grade GCSE)
individual support and careers guidance from a youth worker throughout the programme
Level 1 qualification in Employment Skills and Digital Skills
a work experience placement with an employer, to provide real insight and experience into the world of work in your chosen industry
- you'll be involved in small group and one to one sessions. We are here to help and support you throughout the course. The focus is on learning useful and practical skills that you can use to help you access work, education or training.
When and where?
starting in January 2021
the course will consist of employment skills workshops and an opportunity to do work experience placement
you will receive youth work support throughout the programme and gain careers advice and guidance in both group and one to one sessions to support you with your options and your next steps
if you need to develop your maths or English skills up to Level 2 then Adult Learning will support you to begin your journey towards achieving this. The course will run 3 days a week over a period of 6 months
Am I eligible for a Traineeship programme?
You will be eligible if you:
are 16 to 24
currently don't have a job or have little or no work experience
don't have any qualifications or those you have below level 3 (A level)
Will I get paid?
No. This Traineeship is unwaged.
Can I still claim my current benefits?
Yes, you can participate in our traineeship for up to 30 hours per week and still claim the benefits that you currently claim.
