Family Centre - Closures and Provision

Family Centres update Monday 6 July 2020

We are reviewing the most recent government guidance on social distancing and the use of council buildings and community settings, in order to finalise plans to re-start targeted support at some family centres in the coming weeks. This will mean we can support those families most in need of help. We are not yet able to confirm when universal and drop-in sessions will restart at Family Centres as they cannot be accommodated under the current social distancing restrictions. We will update the Buckinghamshire Family Information Service and Buckinghamshire Council websites when we have more information. www.bucksfamilyinfo.org/familycentres

Following the latest Government advice, the Family Support Service will no longer be running drop-in sessions at the 3 Family Centre Plus sites (Mapledean, Southcourt and Newtown). For now, all Family Centre sites will remain closed to help prevent the risk of spreading COVID 19.

If you need urgent support and you have a Family Worker, please call them directly. Family Support Workers will be maintaining regular contact with existing clients to offer support and advice. If you don’t currently have a Family Worker and need some help or advice you can contact the Buckinghamshire Family Information Service on 01296 383293. You can make a request for support by completing the online form.

If you are concerned about the welfare of a child you should contact First Response on 01296 383 962 (or 0800 999 7677 out of hours).
