What training do I need?

The Introduction to Childminding (ICC) course is approved by the Local Authority and adheres to registration requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the Childcare register.

The course supports you to complete a registration process over four sessions.

1: Watch the Information session for those wishing to become Childminders video

Those wishing to complete the Introduction to Childminding Course should watch the Information session for those wishing to become Childminders video prior to attending the course.


2: Complete the Introduction to Childminding Course

Introduction to Childminding (ICC) covers every aspect of being a registered childminder from meeting children’s learning needs to working in partnership with parents and other professionals.

The course runs over four evening sessions via Microsoft Teams from Tuesday 19 January to Tuesday 9 February 2021.

You can book your place online via the CPD website. Bookings close on Monday 18 January 2021.
