How to access the Family Support Service
During September 2020 the Family Support Service will begin to provide face to face support in a variety of settings including within family centres and family homes where families have an allocated worker. To manage this we will be taking a gradual approach to resuming our support. Find out more about how Family Centres will reopen.
If you need urgent support and you have a Family Worker, please call them directly. Family Support Workers will be maintaining regular contact with existing clients to offer support and advice. If you don’t currently have a Family Worker and need some help or advice you can contact the Buckinghamshire Family Information Service on 01296 383 293.
You can make a online request for support.

I need the Family Support Service to work with me or my family to help with specific problems
The Family Support Service provides a wide range of support to children, young people and families in Buckinghamshire. It does this through a variety of groups and programmes, and through individual support. The Family Support Service can work individually with families or our youth workers can support young people for a short time to help them with specific challenges
You can speak to a member of staff at the Family Centre or call BFIS on 01296 383 293 to discuss your concerns.
I want to share my ideas about improving the Family Centre timetables
The new Family Support Service will be developing the activities and services offered at each centre to provide local families with a range of activities and support that responds to local need. If you have ideas about different activities or groups that could run from the Family Centres, please send them to the email address for your local centre or speak to centre staff. We will consider all ideas received to help us plan new services but we may not be able to respond to them all individually.
