Chiltern Citizens Advice (Amersham)

All our offices closed during the Coronavirus outbreak. We have staff operating a very limited telephone and email service remotely. See our website for more details.

Free and confidential service available to all in the community. We help thousands of local people each year. Staff are fully trained and can advise on a wide range of issues including managing money and debt; benefits; housing and employment. Telephone advice only.

We will visit people over the age of 65 who live in Chesham and Amersham areas. The hope is that this will make the Citizens Advice service more accessible to older people. At the home visit, with the persons permission we would like to focus on any of the following:

  • the issue of loneliness and isolation by advising them of social groups, activities and events they may be interested in;
  • check that they are not missing out on any welfare benefit entitlements; and
  • advice on help that may be available with their fuel bills.

This is a free and strictly confidential service.
