Access to Work Programme | Assistance for those with a Disability

The Jobcentre Plus Access to Work Programme (AtW) assists disabled people who are in paid employment or with a job or a work trial by providing practical support with overcoming work-related obstacles arising from disability. This includes short or long term financial assistance to disabled people who incur additional costs in travelling to and from work or during working hours because of their disability.

Whilst on a period of Work Experience arranged by Jobcentre Plus all claimants are able to claim the cost of travel between their home address and the opportunity location.
