Local Offer

In line with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, I make regular observations and assessments of each child’s development  and plan a child’s further progress based on these. I encourage  families to discuss any concerns with me to enable us to work together on instigating appropriate next steps n for their child’s development.

I discuss and seek advice from the parents of a child with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) .  I am willing to undertake any formal training necessary to further understand the individual needs of their child.

I  provide families with regular updates by face-to-face discussion, email, text or phone and share my observations and assessments with them.

A child with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) joining my setting would be fully supported.  I would discuss their individual needs with parents and seek information about them from their previous setting.  Likewise, I would provide information as required by a new setting the child may attend and work alongside them, providing transitional information to help the child settle in successfully.
