The Virtual School | Buckinghamshire
They have high aspirations for children in care, and support and challenge all those involved in their education through close collaboration across the authority; their team of 20 experienced educational staff work directly with schools, social workers, foster carers and the young person to improve their educational achievements.
There are approximately 500 children in care from Buckinghamshire. All of these children will have experienced distress, loss and trauma which may affect their development and education.

Local Offer
- Description
The Virtual School works closely with partners in education, health and social care and in collaboration with the Integrated SEND Service to ensure that the educational provision meets the specific needs of all its pupils. We attend the Annual Review of pupils with an Education Health Care Plan, where appropriate, and have a designated lead teacher to support Children with Disabilities. As part of the PEP (Personal Education Plan) process we work with schools to monitor and tailor the provision to ensure all pupils are thriving and making good progress in their setting. When a pupil moves schools we promote effective planning and support for the transition which involves close liaison with the Integrated SEND Service and relevant agencies.
