Kyohan Shotokan Karate Classes (High Wycombe)

Coronavirus status: OPEN ONLINE

Traditional close range multi-skill grappling and striking karate: practical karate for practical people.

Our traditional karate classes involve close-quarter self-defence focused striking, grappling, throwing, groundwork, forms and pad work with static, dynamic and alive training.

This is not creche or sport karate. Classes are for adults and teenagers. If you did karate as a child you'll find what we do is rather different.

Kyohan Shotokan Karate classes take place at Wycombe Leisure Centre and Wycombe Judo Centre.   Trainees benefit from a large designated car park, male and female changing and showering facilities, and an area where people coming straight from work can relax before training, or wait and watch while a self-defence or fitness orientated karate class is being held.

Our martial arts classes are orientated towards self-defence and physical fitness.

We do not teach karate to very young children but teenagers are welcome by arrangement.
