Julie Knight and Lucy Clark are highly experienced Specialist Teachers. Inclusively Down specialises in working with children and young people with Down syndrome and supports schools, settings, professionals and families through training, support packages and consultancy.
We offer consultation sessions to schools and settings to develop their knowledge and understanding of Down syndrome and look at meeting individual needs. We also work alongside teachers and support staff, modelling successful strategies to support children with Down syndrome to access the curriculum and an inclusive environment. We consider good practice and approaches to support potential and engagement in learning, based on research and proven methods.
We also carry out assessments and then offer advice on particular programmes/ support which may further progress.
We can support your child’s progress in the home or offer early intervention support to your pre-schooler. We can also help parents navigate the EHCP and Education process and signpost you to appropriate resources and services.
We will devise bespoke support which suits each particular child / young person, their family and the school or setting they attend.
We offer training on the needs of children and young people with Down syndrome, externally or delivered on-site to staff or parents.
