Community Nutrition Team NHS (Buckinghamshire)
The team provide evidence-based nutrition information to support children and families living in Buckinghamshire to achieve a healthy lifestyle.
We aim to reduce health inequality for those who are at greater risk of poor nutrition and signpost appropriate support to enable all children and young adults to improve their health and well being.
We create and deliver training for health and community workers, carers and volunteers looking after young children, adults with learning disabilities and older adults to maintain a healthy weight.
COVID-19 update: Currently face to face training sessions are not available to comply with government recommendations on social distancing during the novel coronavirus pandemic. Online webinar sessions will be able to access in due course, please check this page to see what is on offer.
As a member of Bucks Food Partnership, we liaise with local organisations that provide support to anyone in Bucks who is struggling to access nutritious food and eat well at home.
Please contact Buckinghamshire Council if seeking support whilst self-isolating or telephone 03001 616 000
Being able to cook is an essential skill and hugely important now that personal food budgets have become restricted and catering services from restaurants, lunch clubs and meal delivery are limited. To access food or hot meals delivery, use the Buckinghamshire Council directory and tick the box ‘food collection delivery' then add in your postcode to find the nearby services that can help you
