Wycombe Homeless Connection | Housing and Homelessness Charity
This service has temporarily been moved to a telephone helpline during the Coronavirus pandemic - 01494 447699 - please call between 10am to 4pm Mondays to Fridays for assistance.
We help people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
We can assist with emergency food, clothing and bedding and we run a winter night shelter during January, February and March.
In addition to this we also work to find accommodation for people who are homeless, we work with the Wycombe Rent Deposit Guarantee Scheme to find private rented accommodation, we can assist clients to register and bid on Bucks Home Choice for social housing and we can assist in making applications to hostels such as the Old Tea Warehouse and the YMCA, in some cases we can also offer some financial assistance for the costs of moving in to accommodation.
We also help people who are at risk of homelessness to try to help them avoid being evicted. This includes legal drop-in sessions where clients can see a legal aid solicitor for free.
We help people to deal with some of the negative effects of homelessness, find housing and help people who are at risk of being evicted avoid it or find alternative accommodation. We run a night shelter during January, February and March. All year round we have a drop-in sessions at Oakley Hall on Castle Street in High Wycombe where we can help people in a housing crisis with a range of things.
