Tax-Free Childcare: for providers
This information is for childcare providers, if you are a parent or carer please see Tax-Free Childcare for parents
Tax-Free Childcare is a Government scheme to help working families with their childcare costs. Parents can open online accounts to pay their registered childcare providers and the government will add to the account.
Signing up now means parents will be able to make childcare payments to you as soon as the service starts. You can find out more about the provisions, including how to sign up for both Tax Free and 30 Hour's Childcare, via the Childcare Choices website.
Step 1: First you need to have received your user ID in the "Sign up now to Tax-Free childcare" letter.
*If you haven't received a letter or have lost your letter then contact GOV.UK on: 0300 123 4097.
Step 2: Sign up online at GOV.UK providing your user ID.
It's important that you sign up yourself rather than asking someone to do this for you, as you need to set your own security questions. If you want to nominate someone to help manage your Childcare Provider Account in future, you'll have the opportunity to do so when signing up.
If you are a childcare provider run by a maintained school, you will need to provide the following Local Authority Unique Tax Reference (UTR) and postcode when signing up:
UTR: 53054 60471
Post code: HP20 1UD
As a Nanny you will be able to sign up using your:
